Having watched and enjoyed the first two installments of Taken, I decided to borrow Taken 3 (2015).
Former CIA operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is framed for the murder of his ex-wife (Famke Janssen), and is hunted by the police with Sgt Franck Dotzier (Forest Whitaker) leading the investigation.
What follows is a lot of chase (both on foot and by car), running, climbing over fences and other stunts until Bryan manages to shake off his pursuers. Soft music and a gentle ballad accompanies him as he stumbles through the sewers and gets to a public phone to call his daughter (Maggie Grace) with the news, telling her to be careful, and that he loves her.
Similar scenerios take place throughout the movie. Maybe because the special and visuals effects would have been better enjoyed from a big screen in a cinema, but I find the plot not as engrossing as the first two installments in the franchise. I doubt there will be yet another sequel; after all, “it all ends here”. However, I will not pass up any opportunity to see Liam Neeson on the big screen!
