A friend suggested that I include the Chinese title of the Tang poem I translate, and I explained I’ve thought of it but can’t do it on my very old computer which does not have a language function. So I thought it would be good if I can find the poem online and insert it in my blog:
(This one is by Zhang Ji, 767-830)
A clear moon in the frosty sky
Amid the caws of the crow,
Maple leaves and fishermen’s light
Contrast with an anxious mind.
Just outside the Gusu City
Lies the Cold Mountain Temple,
The bell’s low knelling at midnight
Can be heard from nearby boats.
